SHARCHITECTURE’s work on Lake Elementary School includes a new administration building, modernization of HVAC central plant equipment, restroom ADA and finish upgrades and overall facility face lift. The school was built in 1964 and is being modernized for service for the next 10-15 years. To update the look of the school, while staying in budget, SHARCHITECTURE designed a new paint palette to help distinguish student areas from faculty and staff areas, and to emphasize the new Lake Lion mascot. With the exception of a 600 sf addition to the administrative office, no new construction took place at Lake Elementary school. New site features such as accessible ramps, handrails, guardrails, and landscape were provided. A new central plant and new data and communications equipment were provided. The septic and sewer drainage were completely replaced, and interior plumbing fixtures and exterior landscape irrigation were replaced with high-efficiency fixtures. Interior finishes and casework were replaced entirely, and a small addition to the administrative office provides a new reception and open office area. The cafeteria kitchen were completely replaced, and new student toilets were provided for the multipurpose room where none had existed before.
