The GORETORIUM at Harmon Corner is a 13,350 SF, three story amusement / entertainment venue located at the Las Vegas Strip and Harmon Avenue. The heavily themed attraction is developed as an abandoned, haunted casino with animated, live and static exhibits. The entry level contains 2,100 SF of retail and a 400 SF quick service bar. An 850 SF intermediate mezzanine level is used for queuing and bar storage. The main attraction area is located on the third floor an contains 8,500 SF of experience space and a 1,500 SF indoor/outdoor lounge. The upper level also contains actors’ green room, costume storage and sound and lighting control rooms. The existing space required extensive structural modifications for additional stairs, mezzanine, elevator and mechanical penetrations. SHARCHITECTURE provided programming, planning, design, tenant coordination, kitchen design, structural design, MPE design, fire life safety and county planning processing. Working closely with the team’s theming designer (Kieth Kiminski), lighting, sound and special effects designers, SHARCHITECTURE was responsible for coordinating the various design packages.
