We provided full architectural services for the USFS Barlow Ranger District Office in Durfur, Oregon. The project included design of a new 1,500 SF office addition and remodel for Ranger District Offices in northern Oregon. The project included a new parking facility, new entrance lobby and reception area meeting homeland security standards, newly remodeled offices, and a new conference center including an ADA upgrade and new elevator addition. The remodel and addition was completed for a construction budget of 1.1 million dollars
The projects new entrance with its exposed hardware and wood structure provides a unifying element between old and new. The addition to the original Ranger Station allows visitors to gain valuable information and gives workers much needed office space. Clerestory windows food the offices with natural light and showcase the wood accents that take influence from the buildings original exterior.
